Neda Agha Soltani is a young Iranian woman shot dead in Iran. The Iranian woman lying on the street has stirred much reaction and opposition movement. The Basij militia member shot Neda (27 yrs old) as police in riot gear were trying to break up the 300 protesters who gathered in public. The video of Neda’ s death was very graphic and it showed blood streaming from her mouth and nose. Thousands of people inside and outside Iran have written online tributes to the Neda, many condemning the government and and they regard her as a martyr. Neda worked part-time at a travel agency in Iran. Her family was barred from holding a public funeral for her on Monday.
