Frivilous Lawsuits
By Todd Schafer
I just saw a question posted in Yahoo Answers about whether somebody who had just ate a piece of hair (baked into the chicken), whether they should sue the restaurant or not. If this isn't an indication that we have far too many lawyers without anything to do; then Americans will never be convinced. This reminds me of the famous Mcdonald's "hot coffee" incident. Whatever happened to the good old days, when maybe you might ask to have your meal paid for, and move on? Fat people suing McDonalds, iron lungs suing tobacco companies, stock losers suing their brokers...the list goes on and on. Americans need to concentrate on making a productive difference, rather than clogging up the courts with such frivilousness. |
