Dr Pepper for "Free"

In this challenging economy, some big time corporate entities are resorting to innovative giveaways as a way to get their product in the news. Did you know that last October 28th, for example, you could have had a free taco at Taco Bell because a base was stolen in the World Series? Just the other day I was at a Laker basketball game, and everyone present would have had free Chilupas had the Lakers won the game by more than six and kept the Pistons under 100.
Luckily for Pistons fans, Taco Bell didn't have to pay out on that one. Dr Pepper had been betting that Guns N Roses would NOT release their long awaited (17 years I understand) album "Chinese Democracy" in this calendar year. Well, the album is slated to drop today, November 23rd. I say "free" because in order to receive this coupon, you must fill out an online form with some personal information, and wait 4-6 weeks for your coupon for a free Dr Pepper. The least Dr Pepper could have done was give away a free six pack! One Dr Pepper??! Please... |
